What is a Tzabien (Sabian)?

§

The Holy Qur'an states: "The believers, the Jews, the Christians, and the Sabians - all those who believe in God and the Last Day and do good - will have their rewards with their Lord" (Qur'an 2:62).

So, who exactly is it that believes in God? Those who love. Those who have a feeling that their own lives are not entirely their own, that they can't control the course of events without God's help, and that God might see them in need of help and comfort. Those who are a little freer, but not yet willing to let go of self-sufficiency. Those who are more confident, but still worried about their own safety. And those who are less confident, still worried about the safety of others. So, it makes sense that we'd be more likely to be believers if we've had fewer doubts than those who have a strong sense of belief.

The Sabians are a monotheistic religious community of disparate believers amidst the mainstream of the main bodies of Abrahamic faiths.  Christianity: the religion of The Sun; Judaism: the religion of The Moon; Islam: the religion of the stars; Sabianism: the religion of all constellations.  We are protected from religious persecution by Islamic law.  Idris (Enochwas our prophet.  Since his translation to heaven, without tasting death, we are awaiting his arrival to herald the coming of messiah.  "We raised him to a high position" (Qur'an 19:57).

Because we are People of the Book, upholding both Torah and Gospel, our sins are taken away and we are brought into the Gardens of Delight (Qur'an 5:65).  We are under God's protection.  Until the Day of Resurrection.  Air, trees, water, animals.
